Boondi Anar (pomegranate) raita
Preparation timing 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- Curd - 2 cups
- Boondi - 200 gms
- Anar (Pomegranate) - 100 gms
- Ginger - 1 inch ( grated)
- Green chilly - 1 ( chopped)
- Coriander leaves - 1 bunch ( finely chopped)
- Mint leaves - 1 tbsp ( finely chopped)
- Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
- Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chat masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Black salt -1/2 tsp
- Sugar - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Firstly take a mixing bowl and whisk the curd till smooth and peel the pomegranate
- Then add 1/4 up of water to the curd and mix well
- The curd should be like dropping consistency
- Then add roasted cumin powder , chat masala powder , black salt, sugar and salt
- Mix it til sugar and salt properly dissolved into the curd
- Further add grated ginger , chopped green chilly , chopped mint leaves,chopped coriander leaves and pomegranate combine all the ingredients really well
- Before adding boondi , if you want to add soft boondi then soak the boondi in warm water for few minutes and drain the excess water and put it into the curd
- But now i am using boondi directly to the curd because i want to keep boondi remain crisp
- Mix the boondi well with a spatula
- Boondi anar rait is ready
- Transfer the raita into serving bowl and garnish with some red chilly powder and roasted cumin powder.
