how to make boondi - dahi raita recipe - boond raita in english - dahi boondi chaat

Boondi Anar (pomegranate)  raita
Preparation timing 15 minutes
Ingredients:
  • Curd - 2 cups 
  • Boondi - 200 gms
  • Anar (Pomegranate) - 100 gms
  • Ginger - 1 inch ( grated)
  • Green chilly - 1 ( chopped)
  • Coriander leaves - 1 bunch ( finely chopped)
  • Mint leaves - 1 tbsp ( finely chopped)
  • Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chat masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Black salt -1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
 Direction:

  • Firstly take a mixing bowl and whisk the curd till smooth and peel the pomegranate

  • Then add 1/4 up of water to the curd and mix well 
  • The curd should be like dropping consistency 
  • Then add roasted cumin powder , chat masala powder , black salt, sugar and salt
  • Mix it til sugar and salt  properly dissolved into the curd
  • Further add grated ginger , chopped green chilly , chopped mint leaves,chopped coriander leaves and pomegranate combine all the ingredients really well
  • Before adding boondi , if you want to add soft boondi then soak the boondi in warm water for few minutes and drain the excess water and put it into the curd
  • But now i am using boondi directly to the curd because i want to keep boondi remain crisp
  • Mix the boondi well with a spatula
  • Boondi anar rait is ready
  • Transfer the raita into serving bowl and garnish with some red chilly powder and roasted cumin powder.
